The donation handover was attended by representatives from Weebz Mandiri, including Julino, the Managing Director, and Winda, the Human Resources Manager. On behalf of Dompet Dhuafa, the event was represented by the Partnership Team, Muhammad Zidni and Pradila Maulia.

Managing Director of Weebz Mandiri, Julino, hopes that the flood survivors affected can quickly recover.

“Hopefully, the victims of the disaster will recover soon, both physically and in terms of infrastructure, as well as mentally and psychologically,” said Julino.

Julino also expressed appreciation to Dompet Dhuafa for serving as the community’s extended hand in distributing aid.

“Hopefully, all of Dompet Dhuafa’s team’s work will go smoothly,” he said.

Meanwhile, Weebz Mandiri’s Human Resources Manager, Winda, revealed that she felt heartbroken upon seeing a baby who was forced to eat instant noodles because there was no other food available.

Human Resource Officer Winda expressed her concern about the condition of babies in the affected areas

“The baby is in the growth stage. But his parents are forced to feed him instant noodles because there is no other food available,” said Winda with teary eyes.

“Especially since I have a baby myself, I really understand how painful it is to be a parent,” she added.

Responding to this, Muhammad Zidni said that the disaster in Sumatra does indeed need serious attention.

“Because many public facilities have been damaged and bridges have collapsed. So aid to several isolated areas has been hampered,” he said.

Zidni said that of the three affected provinces, Aceh Tamiang was among the worst hit. For this reason, the Dompet Dhuafa team, through the Disaster Management Center (DMC), has been deployed to several locations, including Aceh.

Pradila Maulia added that the Dompet Dhuafa team will continue to provide support to the affected victims. This includes accompanying survivors through the evacuation, incubation, and recovery phases.
