Allah SWT explains in the Qur’an that the key to every test is patience, as stated in Surah Al-Baqarah verses 155-156.

“And We will surely test you with a little fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives, and fruits. And give good news to those who are patient.” (QS. Al Baqarah: 155)

“(That is) those who, when afflicted with calamity, say, ‘Innā lillāhi wa innā ilaihi rāji’ūn’ (truly, we belong to Allah and to Him we shall return).” (QS. Al Baqarah: 156)
