JAKARTA – It is not difficult to find a magnificent and luxurious mosque in an urban area. Praying also feels more comfortable and pleasant when it is done in these mosques. This then becomes a dream for all Muslims.
However, a different and contrasting scene is even felt in remote areas of the country. There, there are still many mosques that are not worthy with poor conditions. In fact, worship equipment such as sarongs, mukena (ladies’ prayer gowns), sajadah (prayer rugs), to the Quran are very lacking.
Seeing this reality, Dompet Dhuafa also carried out a synergy of kindness by cooperating with Beramaljariyah and Evermos. This synergy of kindness is manifested in the distribution of aid to the society. This aid is in the form of distributing the Quran and prayer equipment consisting of prayer rugs and mukena ladies’ prayer gowns.

A total of 1,016 Qurans, 418 prayer rugs, and 294 mukena have been distributed. Funds were collected from donors referred to as #SahabatBeramal which were then channeled through Dompet Dhuafa.
The Quran and praying equipment aid were distributed to various places in Java Island, such as West Java, Central Java, East Java, and DI Yogyakarta. The distribution of this aid also involved the teams of Dompet Dhuafa Jogja, Dompet Dhuafa Jatim, Dompet Dhuafa Jabar, Cordofa Jabar and Cordofa Jateng.
The Quran and praying equipment were distributed to various places, such as to Majlis Taklim, Mosques, Islamic Boarding Schools, Foundations, Orphans, Dhuafa Lansia (Elderly Dhuafa) and others which were located in each of these areas.
The distribution of this aid was carried out for two weeks, which was on last Tuesday (13/12/2022). The distribution was also given directly to the beneficiaries, either collectively in a place or individually. In addition to distributing the Quran, prayer rugs, and mukena, there were also short lectures and prayers to end the event.
