The family of the late Hadi Waluyo presents ABD for the poor with disabilities.

SOUTH TANGERANG —— How noble are those who continue to spend their wealth in the way of Allah in the name of their parents. This is what the children and family of the late Mr. Hadi Waluyo have done. This is a sign of children’s devotion to their deceased parents. With Allah’s permission, the reward will also reach their deceased parents, because it is the result of their parents’ teachings while they were still alive.

Through Dompet Dhuafa, the family of the late Hadi Waluyo donated five hearing aids to people with hearing impairments. The five recipients of the hearing aids are children from underprivileged families, who are in urgent need of assistance from kind-hearted individuals. Several weeks ago, the hearing aid provider Audiotone conducted tests on each potential recipient to ensure they received hearing aids suitable for their individual conditions.

The LKC Dompet Dhuafa team symbolically handed over humanitarian donations in the form of ABD to Siti Muzdalifah 5 from Candali Village Rancabungur District Bogor Regency accompanied by her father Jajang 36

After production was complete, on Monday (June 13, 2022) at the Free Health Service (LKC) Dompet Dhuafa office in Ciputat, South Tangerang, the ABDs were distributed to each beneficiary and could be taken home immediately.

There was something that made everyone in the room smile and feel moved. It was the change in the beneficiaries’ expressions, which went from being flat to suddenly surprised and amazed by what they were feeling.

One of the beneficiaries, Agam Fathur Halim (5), couldn’t stop smiling after receiving a cochlear implant in both ears. His mother, Rahmawati (35), repeatedly cried with joy seeing her second child so happy. According to his mother, Agam has had hearing problems since birth. At 10 months old, Agam still did not respond when his mother called him. Suspicious of what was happening, his mother took Agam to see an ENT doctor. The doctor said that Agam’s hearing problems were caused by a virus he had been born with.

Agam’s father only works odd jobs making cages, so Rahmawati had to seek other help. On the other hand, the couple from Mekarsari Village, Rajek District, Tangerang Regency, also had to provide for their two other children. Fortunately, at the age of 5, Agam was introduced to the family of the late Hadi Waluyo through Dompet Dhuafa.

“The ENT doctor said he was infected with a congenital virus. I’ve been running around trying to find financial assistance for Agam. Alhamdulillah, Allah brought us together with Dompet Dhuafa,” explained Rahmawati.

Time and again Rahmawati cried tears of joy because her son Agam Fathur Halim could now respond when called
