JAKARTA – The spirit of Ramadan as a month full of blessings and joy was realized by Dompet Dhuafa through the gathering event “Light of Ramadan 1446 H: Gathering and Buka Bersama” which brought together donors, collaborator partners, and the media friends of goodness. The event, which took place on Wednesday (03/19/2025) at the At-Taqwa Sriwijaya Hall, South Jakarta, was an important moment to strengthen relationships and collaboration in spreading kindness.
Opening the event, Rahmad Riyadi, as the Supervisory Board of Dompet Dhuafa, said, “In the midst of Indonesia’s economic conditions facing various challenges such as the decline in the Jakarta Composite Index, the rise of layoffs, and the weakening of people’s consumption power, the spirit of mutual cooperation becomes increasingly important. Dompet Dhuafa invites all parties to continue to join hands in helping the poor and underprivileged who need a helping hand.”
Secretary of the Management of Dompet Dhuafa, Etika Setiawanti, said that Dompet Dhuafa has gratefully reached the National Zakat Micro Dimension Index Value of 0.87 from an average of 0.65, the highest compared to several other zakat institutions, and is included in the sustainable category.
“Of course, this figure is an important achievement that proves that Dompet Dhuafa, in terms of governance, transparency, accountability, and distribution of zakat, always complies with the rules and regulations that apply in the zakat system,” exclaimed Etika.

In line with that, Sandiaga Uno, who was also present and gave a speech, said that this triggered the Zakat Management Partners (MPZ) of Dompet Dhuafa collaborators to take strategic steps to help and strengthen each other.
“People’s consumption power is weakening, prices are rising, which is what prompted us and Dompet Dhuafa to make strategic moves to spur consumption power, creating a space for joint donations with donors. One of them is through the Super Farmer Outlet program, which is a movement to empower local farmers. This is a step to cut down on suppliers so that hopefully farmers will prosper,” said the initiator of the Indonesia Setara Foundation (YIS) and One Kecamatan One Center of Entrepreneurship (OK OCE), in his remarks.
The afternoon meeting was not only an opportunity for friendship, but also a means of providing information and socialization for donors, partners, and the media about the good work that Dompet Dhuafa has done. It is hoped that the collaboration that has been established can provide significant benefits for people in need.
“This opportunity for friendship is perhaps a continuation of the program that we have run together with Dompet Dhuafa, namely Pesantren Gemilang. This has become a kind of forum for us here to meet again with our friends and spread kindness. Hopefully, the benefits that Dompet Dhuafa provides will be even greater in the future,” said Hidayat & Yayan Hadijah, Donors of Dompet Dhuafa.
“We (Kompas TV) have been collaborating with Dompet Dhuafa since 2016. It is an experience in itself for us, both exciting and emotional, exploring the interior and disaster locations. The Cerita Rasa program opens a public kitchen there to feel like a disaster survivor too, the Qurbani Distribution program to remote areas that we never imagined before,” said Benu Buloe.

The “Light of Ramadan 1446 H” series was also enlivened by various interesting activities, including a Saman Dance performance by students of SLB Mekar Sari Cibinong, supervised by LPM Dompet Dhuafa, an inspiring Ramadan program talk with Moklas Pidono (Branch Manager of Dompet Dhuafa Banten) and Andriansyah (Chairman of Ramadan 1446 H Dompet Dhuafa) hosted by Chiki Fawzi (Volunteer Specialist Dompet Dhuafa), to a heartwarming Ramadan pearl study by Ustaz Ahmad Dasam Nasution, as the closing event before breaking the fast together. The invited guests who attended also received souvenirs from Azalea-brand personal care, which is also a collaborator of Dompet Dhuafa.
