BANGKOK, THAILAND —-– The first steps of his international missionary journey brought Ustaz Solahuddin Al Ayubi, Dai Ambassador of Dompet Dhuafa 2026, to the Land of the White Elephant. On Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at exactly 4:30 p.m. local time, Ustaz Solahuddin Al Ayubi and Ustaz Rosyid Adi Noor Rochman arrived at Suvarnabhumi Airport, Bangkok. They departed from Soekarno-Hatta Airport at 1:05 p.m. Western Indonesian Time on Thai Airways. The flight, which took several hours, marked the beginning of a great mission that has now truly begun.
Upon arrival at Suvarnabhumi Airport, the two Dai Ambassadors of Dompet Dhuafa 2026 for Thailand were warmly welcomed by the Indonesian Embassy team in Bangkok. Friendly smiles and humble greetings were the first soothing impressions amid the busy atmosphere of the international airport. Shortly thereafter, the group departed for the Indonesian Embassy in Bangkok. The journey offered an initial glimpse of the city. Amidst the bustling streets of Bangkok, the Dai stopped to perform prayers at the Nurul Ibadah Mosque.

“The mosque stands tall and feels very special. There is something unique that warms the heart: mosques here generally have schools. Religious lessons are taught in these rooms, signifying that mosques are not just places of worship, but also centers of education and guidance for Muslim generations,” said Ustaz Solahuddin Al Ayubi to the Dompet Dhuafa team.
A Warm Welcome from Muslim Brothers in Bangkok
From the Nurul Ibadah Mosque, the journey to the Indonesian Embassy in Bangkok continued. Amidst the heavy traffic of Bangkok, the atmosphere on the highway felt relatively calm. Vehicles drove by busily, but almost without honking their horns. It was a simple scene that gave an impression of order and tranquility.
“Upon arrival at the Indonesian Embassy in Bangkok, we were treated to dinner with the leaders of the Majlis Taklim Masjid As-Safir Indonesian Embassy in Bangkok. In a warm and friendly atmosphere, the Air Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy in Bangkok, Mr. Zaki, said that the presence of the preachers had long been awaited by the congregation in Thailand. He said that the enthusiasm of the Muslim community, especially Indonesian citizens in Thailand, was very evident,” added Solahuddin.

He reiterated that prior to the arrival of the Dai Ambassadors from Dompet Dhuafa, a number of congregants had inquired about information and requested the dai’s phone numbers. Not only that, several routine religious activities such as recitation and Quran classes, ngajikok, were temporarily suspended. This was because the congregants wanted to focus on participating in the series of activities organized by the Dai Ambassadors from Dompet Dhuafa 2026.
“The congregation is eagerly awaiting the arrival of the dai. They hope that the arrival of the dai will bring light that can illuminate the journey of Indonesian citizens here,” said Mr. Zaki.
This statement reinforces our belief that this da’wah mandate is not just an agenda of activities, but an answer to the hopes and longings of the people abroad. Bangkok is the starting point of this journey. It is the beginning of a series of Da’i Ambassador Dompet Dhuafa 2026 da’wah activities in Thailand, to convey Islamic values, strengthen ukhuwah (brotherhood), bring benefits to the ummah, and spread ZISWAF da’wah on the global stage, as a manifestation of Islam as rahmatan lil ‘alamin.
