Transmart Launches #JadiManfaat Qurbani Program with Dompet Dhuafa

JAKARTA —— Transmart’s qurbani program serves and distributes qurbani animals to those who are truly in need or rarely enjoy qurbani meat in remote areas of the archipelago. On this occasion, Transmart and Dompet Dhuafa are collaborating with one of Dompet Dhuafa‘s programs, namely Tebar Hewan Kurban (THK), which has empowered many small farmers in remote areas of the archipelago.

This Eid al-Adha 1443 H marks the 10th collaboration between Transmart and Dompet Dhuafa, Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT), and Human Initiative. The start of this year’s collaboration was marked by a press conference entitled “Achieving the Blessings of Sacrifice” held at Transmart Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta, on Thursday (9/6/2022). The sacrifice service will take place from June 9 to July 9, 2022, simultaneously throughout Indonesia.

Eka Nurcahya, Director of Transmart’s Fresh Division, explained, “Transmart’s qurbani program has been running since 2013. We target recipients in poor, underdeveloped, and remote areas, areas that are not yet accessible or rarely enjoy qurbani meat, and areas affected by disasters or prone to conflict. The main objective of this program is to sincerely share happiness with our fellow brothers and sisters by distributing qurbani meat to all corners of the country. To ensure the success of this program, we are collaborating with three trusted institutions, namely: Dompet Dhuafa (DD), Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT), and Human Initiative. Hopefully, we can continue to distribute sacrificial meat to those who rarely have access to and are in need of this sacrificial meat,” he said.

The launch of Transmart’s sacrificial program was also attended by Eka Nurcahya as Director of the Fresh Division at Transmart, Satria Hamid as Vice President of Corporate Communication at Transmart, Etika Setiawanti as Director of Mobilization Ziswaf Dompet Dhuafa, Muhammad Basair as Executive Director of Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT), and Rully Barlian Thamrin as Vice President of Resource Human Initiative. The event was also enlivened by a marawis performance from HAM Entertainment and a religious lecture from ustaz Syahroni Mardani, Lc.

We plan to distribute the Tebar Hewan Kurban (THK) Dompet Dhuafa program to all 34 provinces across the country. This year, we are targeting the distribution of 40,000 sacrificial animals, which will be distributed to areas in need of sacrificial meat. The criteria are: 3T (Outermost, Disadvantaged, Frontier) areas, areas experiencing a deficit of sacrificial meat, post-disaster areas, and we will distribute them in the form of live sacrificial animals, which will later be slaughtered and distributed as fresh meat to the surrounding community. In addition to areas within Indonesia, we will also distribute to several areas abroad, such as Palestine, Syria, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, the Philippines, Timor Leste, and Somalia.

Dompet Dhuafa is very pleased to be able to collaborate in this Transmart sacrificial program. Hopefully, we can spread happiness and always be useful, in accordance with our tagline this year, which is #JadiManfaat, Make Them Happy with Your Sacrifice,” said Etika Setiawanti.

During the press conference, Satria Hamid said, “All of our customers can purchase their sacrificial animals at any of our outlets throughout Indonesia. We provide the highest quality and guaranteed sacrificial animals from superior breeders in all regions of Indonesia at a price of IDR 13,500,000 for a cow and IDR 1,900,000 for a goat,” he explained.

Additionally, Satria also discussed the excellent collaboration between Transmart and humanitarian organizations such as Dompet Dhuafa, Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT), and Human Initiative. This collaboration is a tangible example of synergy that not only brings blessings to Transmart and the three organizations but also to communities across the nation.

“By making purchases at our outlets, Transmart customers no longer need to worry about the slaughtering process, because we will slaughter the sacrificial animals. Of course, the process will be carried out in accordance with Islamic law, and we will also provide full assistance with the distribution so that all of the sacrificial meat can be distributed to those in need throughout the country and even abroad,” concluded Satria.

Hopefully, with the presence of this sacrificial program, the distribution of sacrificial meat on Eid al-Adha 1443 H can reach remote areas of the archipelago. In addition, Sahibul Kurban can feel comfortable in performing sacrificial worship this year through Transmart together with Dompet Dhuafa. (Dompet Dhuafa/ Arlen)
