This action is a series of several activities as a form of concern for the casualties of the Turkiye – Syria Earthquake. Previously, Dompet Dhuafa had carried out a prayer for the absent (salat al-Ghaib) activity, pray together, and also fundraising to be distributed as a response aid to the people in Turkiye and Syria. Dompet Dhuafa has also sent a response team and a medical team, which hopefully can help deal with the response to casualties in Turkiye and Syria.

Even in rainy conditions, hundreds of Walk for Humanity volunteers were still enthusiastic about echoing the voices of concern. It is hoped that by the existence of this long walk, the surrounding society will also move, hand in hand, to strengthen solidarity to help Turkiye – Syria.

“The hope is that the people will see our action today, because we bring banners, and the voices of concern from us, hopefully they are heard and also seen by the society and they are also infected, that humanity is not bound by the boundaries of religion, race, nation, because humanity crosses borders,” said Etika.

This Walk for Humanity action was closed by holding a prayer together. Then the participants were presented with breakfast provided by Dapur Keliling or Darling (a Mobile Kitchen) of the Dompet Dhuafa Community Service Institution for Dompet Dhuafa people and the surrounding society.
