LAMPUNG – Efforts to add health facilities in the Sribhawono area, East Lampung, continue to be intensified by Dompet Dhuafa together with PT AIA FINANCIAL. The development of facilities at AKA Medika Sribhawono Hospital is expected to serve the health needs of the community.
On Friday (14/2/2025), Dompet Dhuafa and PT AIA FINANCIAL handed over a new polyclinic at AKA Medika Sribhawono Hospital, East Lampung. The inauguration of this polyclinic was marked by the signing of an inscription by Ahmad Juwaini as Chairman of the Dompet Dhuafa Republika Foundation and Harsya Wardhana Prasetyo as President Director of PT AIA FINANCIAL.
The addition of several polyclinics and waiting rooms is the result of a collaboration between the Dompet Dhuafa Health Program and PT AIA FINANCIAL through a funding program that shows a real commitment to supporting the construction of the hospital, alias Medika Sribhawono.

The President Director of PT AIA FINANCIAL, Harsya Wardhana Prasetyo, said that AIA FINANCIAL considers health to be one of the main pillars that play an important role in improving the welfare of the Indonesian people. In addition, health is also considered an important factor that supports the country’s economic growth.
“It turns out that there is still a lot of hope, because of course for Indonesia to be able to continue to develop, to be able to continue to grow, healthy resources will be very necessary, so that it can encourage economic growth. In line with this, in Berbagainya, Ahmad Juwaini said that AKA Medika Sribhawono Hospital is a waqf asset managed by Dompet Dhuafa to be productive in order to provide benefits and financial value for the mauquf alaih group.
“We from Dompet Dhuafa today accept the mandate of the polyclinic from PT AIA FINANCIAL to become a health facility at AKA Medika Sribhawono Hospital in Lampung. We would also like to express our gratitude and appreciation to PT AIA FINANCIAL for entrusting us with their mandate. Hopefully, AKA Medika Sribhawono Hospital can become a hospital that can continue to provide benefits and services to the community,” said Ahmad Juwaini.
The AKA Medika Sribhawono Hospital, which stands on an area of 8,080 square meters, has 102 beds for regular and intensive inpatient care. Every month, the hospital is visited by around 1,500 to 1,700 patients. Between 35 percent and 40 percent of these patients generally have to be hospitalized.
Now, AKA Medika Sribhawono Hospital has approximately 13 clinics, such as Orthopedics, Internal Medicine, Obgyn, Pediatrics, Radiology/Ultrasound, ENT, Neurosurgery, Pulmonology, Ophthalmology, Dentistry, MCU, General Medicine, and General Surgery. The condition of a more spacious waiting room, equipped with air conditioning, and adequate lighting can support better service.
“With the addition of 13 polyclinics from PT AIA FINANCIAL, thank God the queues are getting shorter and the risk of infection is also getting minimal. And praise God, with the addition of this polyclinic, there has also been a closure, and then there are integrated polyclinics, pharmacies, and registration, so that it becomes a well-integrated unit,” said the Director of AKA Medika Hospital, Sribhawono, Drg. Endiki Surya Wira Pratama.

AKA Medika Sribhawono Hospital has become a referral for many Community Health Centers and General Clinics, not only in Sribhawono District, but also from other areas. Since being designated a Type C General Hospital in 2017 and joining the BPJS service. Currently, AKA Medika Sribhawono Hospital has 31 inpatient rooms consisting of class 1, class 2, class 3 and VIP, and 10 specialist doctors.
AKA Medika Sribhawono Hospital is the second hospital managed by Dompet Dhuafa. This hospital will be based on productive waqf and cross-subsidization with other religious funds, namely zakat, infaq, and sedekah.
