HATAY, TURKIYE — The Indonesian Emergency Medical Team (EMT) Site Hospital established in Ardıçlı, Hassa District, Hatay Province, Turkiye, since Thursday (16/2/2023) has served 395 outpatients until Sunday (19/2/2023). These patients are survivors of the Turkiye Earthquake in the Hatay region.
Two doctors from the Dompet Dhuafa Tim Respon Darurat Kesehatan or RDK (Health Emergency Response Team) of Layanan Kesehatan Cuma-cuma or LKC (Free Health Services) Dompet Dhuafa, namely dr. Aqila and dr. Rosmalia also joined EMT Indonesia to help accelerate health care for earthquake survivors. Both of them currently serve as a medical team at the Indonesian EMT Site Hospital which was established by the Indonesian Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) and several other institutions.

As of February 19, 2023, the Dompet Dhuafa RDK Team reported that the Indonesian EMT Site Hospital in Hatay had served 395 outpatients. The most outpatients were recorded on Sunday (19/2/2023), which was 119 people.
In addition, the Site Hospital also opened a Resuscitation Service Room facility that serves patients at night, from 08.00 PM to 08.00 AM Turkiye time. The average patients served in the Resuscitation Service Room were diagnosed with Acute Otitis Media, Bronchus Hypersecretion, ARI, Myalgia, and Low Back Pain.
On the other hand, the Dompet Dhuafa RDK Team also coordinates with local residents and nutritionists from EMT Indonesia to meet the nutritional needs of inpatients and patients in the resuscitation room.

The large number of patients at EMT Indonesia Site Hospital shows that this hospital is increasingly known and trusted by the surrounding society to check themselves as well as to seek treatment.
Dompet Dhuafa Sends Aid
Dompet Dhuafa donors continue to seek various assistance for brothers in Turkiye and Syria who become victims of the earthquake. On Tuesday (22/2/2023), Dompet Dhuafa again sent logistical aid to the survivors of the Turkiye-Syria Earthquake, along with the third phase of assistance from the Indonesian people. The aid delivery was released directly by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo at the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base Airstrip, East Jakarta.

The aid consisted of foodstuffs and logistics with a total weight of 140 tons and was sent using 4 airbus aircraft owned by Garuda Indonesia. The delivery of this third phase of aid is a form of humanitarian diplomacy and all Indonesian people’s form of concern for the Government of Turkiye and Syria.
“In today’s morning, we will send 4 planes to Turkiye and Syria, which contain 140 tons of foodstuffs and other logistical materials which are needed there. Hopefully, what we send can help our brothers and sisters there,” said President Jokowi.
