YOGYAKARTA – A couple from Yogyakarta, Sabar and Tri Hastuti SKM, officially donated their house in Perum Gunung Sempu, Kasihan, Bantul, to be used as a Healthy Shop and Tahfidz Dormitory “Anisa”. They entrusted the management of the waqf assets to Dompet Dhuafa.
The waqf pledge was made by Sabar and Tri Hastuti at KUA Kapanewon Kasihan on Monday (30/12/2024). This agenda was attended by various parties. Among others, Ahmad Juwaini as the Chairman of Dompet Dhuafa Republika Foundation (YDDR) as the representative of the nazir, H. Samanto as the Head of KUA Kasihan, as well as Budi Azhari and Irvan Ramdani as witnesses to the waqf pledge which confirms the validity of the transfer of waqf assets to the nazir.
The great decision taken by this husband and wife really inspired Muslims to share and help people in need through productive waqf. It should be noted that the pledge of waqf has a deep meaning. It is not only a form of validation of waqf implementation, but also a step to fulfill the mandate carried out by the waqif to contribute to society through waqf as regulated in Law No. 41/2004 on Waqf.

The Health Center built on the waqf land will provide free health services for the surrounding community, especially for those who are less fortunate. Meanwhile, the Tahfidz Dormitory “Anisa” will be a place for female students to deepen their religious knowledge and memorize the Qur’an. Also, to prepare a generation of Muslim women who are not only academically smart, but also strong in faith.
The name “Anisa” pinned at the end of this tahfidz dormitory can be said to be special. The reason is, this name is the name of the deceased daughter of Sabar and Tri Hastuti who died when she was still in the womb at 8 months old. This sad event was experienced by this couple while carrying out their duties as doctors. The hope is that the name “Anisa” can continue to be remembered and become an inspiration for many people. At the same time, it will become a good deed that will continue to flow rewards.

The Healthy Store and Tahfidz Dormitory “Anisa” have been active since Ramadan 1445 H. This indicates that the management of waqf assets by Dompet Dhuafa is not just a plan, but has been implemented and provides real benefits to the community.
Hopefully, the waqf action carried out by the couple Sabar and Tri can inspire the wider community to participate in social activities through waqf. With more productive waqf assets, there will be more people who can benefit from it. (Dompet Dhuafa)
