ACEH —–— After going through an assessment process, Dompet Dhuafa through its Aceh Branch and Disaster Management Center (DMC) finally reached the flood-affected areas and began distributing emergency aid to residents in need. Access to the location was difficult due to damaged roads, muddy puddles, and flood conditions that left debris everywhere.
As of Friday (11/28/2025) afternoon, Dompet Dhuafa Aceh’s DMC continued to conduct further assessments, coordinate with relevant parties, and distribute aid in Gampong Paga, Meunasah Paga, and the surrounding areas of Beureunuen District, Pidie Regency. Aid posts have been opened to ensure that affected residents can immediately receive optimal support.
At the location, volunteers are assisting in setting up an Aid Post as a coordination and community service center. Additionally, a Community Kitchen has begun operations to prepare meals for residents who had to evacuate after their homes were affected by the flood. Volunteers and residents are working together to ensure daily food needs are met.
Based on preliminary data, 231 families are known to have evacuated to safe locations around the village. To support operations, Dompet Dhuafa deployed a fleet of four vehicles for logistics mobilization and volunteer assistance.

The head of Dompet Dhuafa’s Aceh branch, Rizki Fauzan, also conveyed the latest conditions and the institution’s commitment in handling this disaster.
“After the initial assessment, the team was finally able to reach the affected locations and immediately provide assistance to the residents. The situation on the ground is still very dynamic, with many people in need of support, especially food and basic logistics. We will continue to expand our response to the Pidie Jaya area. We hope that the synergy and support of our donors will continue to flow to help our brothers and sisters who are currently in difficult circumstances,” said Fauzan.
After ensuring that the initial response in Pidie was underway, the Dompet Dhuafa Aceh team also moved to Pidie Jaya to continue the disaster response. Many areas still require further assistance, so the presence of volunteers and the support of the wider community is greatly needed.
