BANDUNG – The presence of Ahmad Juwaini, Chairman of Dompet Dhuafa, at the National Working Meeting (Rakernas) of the Association of Indonesian Private Higher Education Institutions (ABP-PTSI) in Bandung on Wednesday (16/07/2025), reaffirmed Dompet Dhuafa’s commitment to strengthening higher education. Moreover, his participation drew significant attention, as the School of Management (STIM) Budi Bakti is one of the tangible manifestations of Dompet Dhuafa’s educational vision.
The 2025 ABP-PTSI Rakernas, themed “Strengthening the Institutional Framework of Private Higher Education Institutions as Pillars of National Independence,” served as a strategic platform for Dompet Dhuafa to engage in discussions with campus leaders. During the forum, Ahmad Juwaini engaged in lively discussions with various figures, including Rina Fatimah, Head of STIM Budi Bakti, who is known for actively promoting campus transformation as a center for social innovation. This underscores STIM Budi Bakti’s position as an educational institution aligned with Dompet Dhuafa’s philanthropic mission.
Ahmad Juwaini specifically emphasized the importance of higher education as a catalyst for social change. “Campuses are not just places for transferring knowledge, but must become centers for character building, service, and empowerment. This is where the mission of Dompet Dhuafa and the vision of progressive private universities converge,” he said. This perspective aligns with the founding philosophy of STIM Budi Bakti by Dompet Dhuafa, which aims to cultivate leaders of character and competitiveness.
Ahmad Juwaini’s presence at this strategic forum also reaffirms STIM Budi Bakti, as part of Dompet Dhuafa, as a strategic partner in various programs, ranging from scholarships, human resource development, to social research. On the sidelines of the National Working Meeting, he and Rina Fatimah from STIM Budi Bakti specifically discussed strengthening inclusive education and social entrepreneurship programs for students.
“This kind of synergy is important so that the campus does not operate independently, but is connected to the power of civil society. We want students to not only be competent, but also caring and solution-oriented towards social problems,” added Rina Fatimah.
The emphasis on social entrepreneurship and social responsibility is a hallmark of the curriculum and educational approach at STIM Budi Bakti, designed to address the challenges of the times and produce graduates who are not only academically intelligent but also highly socially conscious. The 2025 ABP-PTSI National Conference in Bandung served as a strategic platform for fostering cross-sector collaboration between universities, social institutions, and the business world.
