JAKARTA -— The Dompet Dhuafa philanthropic organization has once again dispatched a team of humanitarian volunteers. This time, the team is heading to Jordan to carry out a humanitarian mission for Palestinians in Gaza. The departure, which took place on Sunday (10/26/2025), is the third humanitarian mission in the past year, following two previous departures in February and September.
The departure of the humanitarian team was attended by Dian Mulyadi as Deputy Director of Corporate Secretary, Juperta Panji Utama as Deputy Director 1 of Social Humanitarian Programs and Da’wah, and Suci Nuzleni as GM of Marketing Communications.
“For this mission, Dompet Dhuafa will send aid in the form of food trucks. In addition, the volunteer team will visit Palestinian refugee camps in Jordan, after preparing food packages to be distributed to the camps. They will also prepare food supplies. As part of this mission, Dompet Dhuafa has prepared a mobile clinic and a gathering with the Indonesian Embassy in Jordan,” said Dian Mulyadi, Deputy Director of Corporate Secretary at Dompet Dhuafa, during the team’s departure.
Dian Mulyadi also added that the Dompet Dhuafa volunteer team will also distribute hot meals and conduct needs assessments in the field. The team will also set up warehouses, prayer rooms, clinics, health cars, schools, and convoys to the border.

According to the plan, a traditional market will be built in one of the refugee camps in the Amman area with the support of local partners.
“We want the refugees to be able to live more independently, even in limited conditions. The traditional market will be a starting point for them to get back on their feet,” said Dian.
The total aid to be distributed includes two containers of basic food supplies containing 768 packages, two containers of non-food aid, one container of clean water, and delivery via a convoy of aid trucks from the Amman border area to Gaza. As the route to Gaza opens, humanitarian aid will be sent via truck convoys with international partners, although personnel are still restricted from entering the Gaza Strip directly. This is a step taken by Dompet Dhuafa to uphold the trust of the generosity of donors in Indonesia.

Humanitarian Team Field Coordinator Shofa Qudus said, “This team is the continuation of the previous team. Following the ceasefire on October 10, Dompet Dhuafa immediately responded with short, medium, and long-term plans for Palestine. We will map out the locations or points where refugee camps that are not yet suitable can be repaired, then look for land to set up traditional markets, clinics, and restore ambulances.”
Previously, international and national humanitarian organizations worked through various channels to provide assistance by distributing food and beverages, emergency medical services, ambulances, trauma healing/psychosocial support for survivors, qurbani/meat distribution programs, delivery of basic necessities, as well as advocacy and dispatch of humanitarian volunteers and global fundraising.
Humanitarian organizations in Indonesia, such as Dompet Dhuafa, have been actively conducting humanitarian initiatives for Palestine since the onset of this humanitarian disaster. Dompet Dhuafa has also documented the delivery of medical aid and other humanitarian actions channeled through partners in the affected areas.
