MARMARIS, TURKEY —-— The spirit of solidarity with Palestine has never waned. On Monday (May 11, 2026), a delegation from the Global Peace Convoy Indonesia (GPCI), part of the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) movement, helped prepare humanitarian aid for the people of Gaza, Palestine, at the Port of Marmaris, Turkey.

Delegates from various countries crowded the port area, working shoulder to shoulder to prepare and load the humanitarian aid in a relay fashion, to be carried on the voyage to Gaza. They worked together to wrap, transport, and load the humanitarian aid onto the ship.

This included delegates from Indonesia, who were seen actively assisting with the distribution and loading of aid alongside other GSF 2.0 delegates.

The aid brought consisted not only of ready-to-eat meals, but also included medicines, children’s diapers, vitamins, infant formula, and clean water—all of which are desperately needed by the people of Gaza amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis.

Dompet Dhuafa, through the humanitarian delegation of the Global Peace Convoy Indonesia, is contributing to this humanitarian mission. This demonstrates the strong solidarity of the Indonesian people with the cause of peace and independence for Palestine through the Global Sumud Flotilla, an international movement.

The participation of this humanitarian organization reflects the Indonesian people’s support for the humanitarian cause and the struggle for Palestinian independence, which has long been championed in various international forums.

“Civil society is increasingly striving to break through Israel’s blockade of Gaza; the people here are acting out of a sense of humanity. This isn’t about heroism or who sails the farthest, but about keeping alive the spirit of uniting Palestine from one stage to the next,” said Chiki Fawzi, a delegate from the Sumud Flotilla Global Humanitarian Mission.

“We Raised Up!” Chiki added.

Meanwhile, Herman Budianto, representing Dompet Dhuafa, emphasized that their departure is not merely about delivering material aid, but about carrying a moral message that the Indonesian people remain standing in solidarity with Gaza amidst the ongoing humanitarian crisis.

“We are ready, insha’Allah, to continue this voyage to Gaza to defend our brothers and sisters and to tell the international community that we must stand together to protect them from genocide and occupation. Please pray for us!” said Herman Budianto.

The presence of this humanitarian aid also refutes the claims by Zionist Israel that the Global Sumud Flotilla was not carrying aid for the Palestinian people. In fact, this global civil society movement is here to deliver humanitarian aid and is striving to break through the illegal siege and blockade imposed on Gaza, Palestine. (Dompet Dhuafa)
