Marketing Action Moves 2024 Realizes Change in Creative Literacy Class in the Scavenger Village of Jurang Mangu

TANGERANG – The collaboration of kindness between Dompet Dhuafa and Paragon Corp was again established and realized on Friday (20/12/2024). Through CSR cooperation, Dompet Dhuafa and Paragon took action to empower women and children, visiting people who live in the Slum Area aka Kampung Pemulung, Jurang Mangu, Bintaro, South Tangerang, holding Marketing Bergerak 2024 entitled “One Heart Realizing Change”.

Marketing Bergerak 2024 is an initiative carried by PT Paragon Corps that invites Paragonians (a term for people who work at Paragon), especially in the marketing department in employee volunteering activities to go directly and spread benefits in the community.

This activity presents more than 200 Paragonians to be involved in three main activities, namely Creative Literacy Classes for children, in this activity children listen to educational stories delivered by the Dompet Dhuafa Indonesian Literacy School (SLI) team, besides sharing joy with Paragonians with coloring activities, writing dreams and ideals. They also received a School Kit package in the form of stationery to support learning at school.

In Kampung Pemulung, Jurang Mangu, Bintaro, a cart carrying junk is parked in front of one of the scavengers’ stalls.
Education on Dengue Fever Disease (DHF) and Clean and Healthy Lifestyle (PHBS) to waste pickers by Paragonian. They also went around to the scavengers’ stalls to distribute hygiene kits while providing health education.

Then there are also Creative Active Mothers activities, by making crafts from used materials, which can be used by mothers to support their economy, such as making a bouquet of flowers from straws that can be used as a business idea, as well as simple hydroponic training so that they can cultivate plants in their yard. The women were also given basic necessities that were distributed to their respective stalls.

In addition, there was also education related to Dengue Fever Disease (DHF) and a Clean and Healthy Lifestyle (PHBS), in this session Paragonians were divided into several groups to tour the stalls (settlements) of the scavengers while distributing hygiene kits.

Suci Nuzlaeni Qadarsih, as General Manager of Marketing Communication of Dompet Dhuafa, expressed her appreciation to Paragon. Suci added that this is the second time a good collaboration has been established with Dompet Dhuafa, which initiates real action for people in need.

“Alhamdulillah, today Dompet Dhuafa together with Paragon Corp collaborated with action to organize Marketing on the Move in 2024. Hopefully this event will be useful for Marketing friends at Paragon Corp and also hopefully give a deep impression to the beneficiaries in this Slum Area,” added Suci.

Dompet Dhuafa as an institution that supports the empowerment of the poor, participates in Marketing Moves 2024, Dompet Dhuafa provides free health check services equipped with doctor consultation and free provision of medicines by the Dompet Dhuafa Free Health Service Team (LKC).

Not only that, Dompet Dhuafa also provides healthy food services by presenting the Mobile Kitchen (Darling) of the Dompet Dhuafa Community Service Agency (LPM) and Wardah. Through collaboration with Dompet Dhuafa, Paragon will also renovate the MCK and Mushola in the Kampung Pemulung area.

Amaliah Sarah Santi as Chief Marketing Officer of PT Paragon Corps revealed the collaboration between Paragon and Dompet Dhuafa as a very memorable program, where this Mobile Marketing can provide the true meaning of benefits.

“Through this program with Dompet Dhuafa we can directly meet with the community, interact and do good together, hopefully today is a day that can provide color for younger siblings, color for residents and especially color for us Paragonians, hopefully today is a form of real action and provides a real sense of usefulness,” said Amaliah.

One of the Paragonians in the field of Brand Development Paragon Corps, Agnes shared the excitement of participating in Marketing on the Move.

“Today is really exciting, I am from the Mrs. 3 group, learning how to arrange flowers from straws and it’s really exciting because actually we are both new to learning but it’s nice to see that the mothers are still eager to learn, and this is very useful, hopefully the benefits can be used in the future too,” said Agnes.

Not only Agnes, the children who attended the exciting activity also expressed their excitement, they were Joni (9), Feri (9) and Revan (9). Joni shared his experience with Paragonian, writing down his dreams and aspirations.

“I’m happy, playing together earlier, I played guessing and coloring and making dreams, it was fun. I’ve never had this activity before, just once,” added Joni.

Feri also responded, “I also got books and socks, pencils, sharpeners, and erasers,” while showing the bag containing school supplies.

“Anyway, it’s really fun to play with my siblings,” explained Revan.
