Paragonian Movement Collaboration Program: Fun Learning with 100 Children at TBM Edelweis

JAKARTA —— The laughter of children echoed throughout the grounds of the Edelweis Community Reading Park (TBM) in Kamal, West Jakarta, on Sunday (November 2, 2025) morning. Starting at 8:00 a.m., the atmosphere was already buzzing with excitement at the location of the “Paragonian Bergerak: Belajar Seru Bareng Paragonian” (Paragonian in Motion: Fun Learning with Paragonian) event, a collaborative program between PT Paragon Technology and Innovation and Dompet Dhuafa through the Indonesian Literacy School (SLI) network.

This activity presented a precious moment where 24 Paragon employees (Paragonians) directly accompanied 100 beneficiary children to learn, play, and create together. With a spirit of sharing and social awareness, they worked together to create a fun learning space, full of laughter and educational values.

The Paragonian Bergerak program aims to foster children’s love for books and the environment while providing meaningful learning experiences. Through an interactive approach, the activity is designed to cultivate children’s curiosity, strengthen their self-confidence, and strengthen positive relationships between children, parents, and the surrounding community.

The series of activities began with a warm opening, greetings from invited guests, and a performance by the children of TBM Edelweis. Present at the event were Utammi Sri Lestari, Partnership Manager of ZIS Dompet Dhuafa, along with her staff; Ari Kleryyanti, CSR ParagonCorp; and Muhammad Arif, Initiator of TBM Edelweis.

In her speech, Utammi Sri expressed her appreciation for the positive synergy between Dompet Dhuafa and Paragon in the field of education. She observed that the enthusiasm of the Paragonians that day was extraordinary. They not only came to share, but also to learn and have fun with the children.

“This is the umpteenth collaboration between Dompet Dhuafa and Paragon. It is a form of collaboration that fosters humanity and literacy. Hopefully, this good initiative will continue and inspire many parties,” said Utammi.

Meanwhile, Ari Kleryyanti explained that this activity is part of the company’s social responsibility to contribute to the advancement of education in Indonesia.

“Through activities like this, we want to be closer to the community, while also building a spirit of learning and sharing among Paragon employees themselves,” he said.

After the opening session, the children were divided into several activity groups. Educational games were a fun way to start the day. The children and Paragonians interacted with each other in games full of laughter and cooperation.

Next was a reading session with an environmental theme.

Facilitators from Sekolah Literasi Indonesia (SLI) read inspirational stories while inviting the children to engage in dialogue and reflect on the importance of protecting the earth. Paragonians accompanied each child so that they could listen attentively. The activities continued with Creative Literacy Class (KLIK) and Clean and Healthy Living Behaviors (PHBS).

Each child received a KLIK module and was guided by Paragonian mentors to understand how to live healthily, maintain personal hygiene, and practice good daily habits. The learning process was intense and intimate.

During the craft session, elementary school children learned how to make ecoprints on tote bags, while preschoolers enjoyed coloring tin piggy banks with patterns. Every corner was filled with color. Little hands enthusiastically created under the guidance of Paragonian mentors.

“It’s so much fun. I like making ecoprints,” said one of the children with a cheerful face.

One of the Paragonians, Fuad, admitted that he was happy to be part of this activity. He felt happy to be able to play and learn with the enthusiastic and cheerful children. The most memorable activity for him was singing and dancing with them. The atmosphere was so warm, cheerful, and fun.

At the same time, Dompet Dhuafa also held a Parenting Class for 50 parents with the theme “Becoming Digitally Literate Parents.” This class aims to equip parents with the knowledge to wisely guide their children in using gadgets and the internet. Through reflection sessions, material presentations, and interactive discussions, parents are encouraged to understand that digital literacy does not mean prohibiting children from using technology, but rather guiding them to be able to filter positive content, learn together, and build healthy communication at home.

Speakers from Sekolah Literasi Indonesia (Rangkul Keluarga Kita) reminded the audience of the importance of the family’s role as the first literacy environment for children. This is because parents are children’s first teachers. If the home is filled with a culture of reading and discussion, children will grow up with strong learning habits.

The event concluded with a group photo, the distribution of school kits for each child, door prizes, and a shared lunch. The beaming faces of the younger and older siblings from Paragonian instilled values of humanity and good deeds in one another. (Dompet Dhuafa)
