This kindness from the heart activity was attended by more than 30 orphans from the Pondok Pesantren Madania. The series of events began with a fun game with the staff of Best City Hotel. This was done so that the children who were present could get acquainted with the staff to introduce each other.

Joko Prawiro Putro as GM of Best City Hotel stated that this activity was a blessing because the students of Madania Islamic Boarding School could visit and build friendship with Best City Hotel. In his remark, Joko explained that Best City Hotel also shared for others by giving part of the revenue from the sale of iftar packages in collaboration with Dompet Dhuafa Yogyakarta.

“It is a blessing for us to have the students, starting Ramadan by sharing this, hopefully we will get abundant blessings from Allah SWT. Later, there will be sales of all-you-can-eat iftar packages with part of the sales revenue being collaborated with Dompet Dhuafa. Please pray for the blessings,” said the GM of Best City Hotel.

The event was assembled with tausiyah (Islamic lecture) from Ustaz Imam Hidayat. He explained that life goals must have been made, as well as Ramadan fasting.

“When encountering the Ramadan month, there are at least three main targets in Ramadan fasting, namely forgiveness of sins, acceptance of prayers, and self-improvement. All three will lead us to the main target of fasting, which is to achieve a high degree of piety,” he said in the middle of the event.

Ustaz Imam Hidayat also added that it was a wretched person, who fasted during Ramadan, but only got hunger and thirst, and did not have a target that he/she should be able to achieve as well as the goal of Ramadan itself.

Furthermore, Ustaz Imam explained, one of the virtues of Ramadan month that is not to be missed is almsgiving. By giving alms, it is hoped that someone will get an abundance of blessings for sharing with others. Just as this event is organized.

Giving iftar food to a fasting person has the virtue of great worship. The reward for the person who gives iftar food to a person who fasts is the same as the person who fasts without reducing the reward of the person who fasts.

At the end of the event, Anita Dyah Ekasari as the Head of the Ramadan Committee of Dompet Dhuafa Jogja who also participated in this event expressed her gratitude to Best City Hotel for its trust.
