Reducing Stunting, Nutrition Post and Darling Enter Karihkil Village

Pos Gizi, stunting

BOGOR, WEST JAVA – According to the Indonesian Nutrition Status Study Report from the Indonesian Ministry of Health (Kemenkes), the prevalence of stunting in Indonesia has decreased from 27.7 per cent in 2019, 24.4 per cent in 2021, to 21.6 per cent in 2022, with the majority occurring in children aged 3-4 years at 6 per cent. However, this figure is still not in accordance with WHO standards which target less than 20 per cent. For this reason, the government is trying to reduce the stunting rate to 17 per cent in 2023 and 14 per cent in 2024.

Of course, various efforts continue to be made to reduce the high number of stunting and malnutrition cases. Dompet Dhuafa is also committed to taking concrete action in saving the future of Indonesian children with various health programmes to alleviate malnutrition.

The Nutrition Post provides healthy and nutritious food as well as health checks and immunisations for local residents with malnourished babies and children.
