Samudera Indonesia Lampung Collaborates with Dompet Dhuafa to Realize SDGs

BANDAR LAMPUNG — Dompet Dhuafa Lampung and Samudera Indonesia Lampung Branch again established a meaningful synergy in an effort to have a positive impact on society. During a visit to Samudera Indonesia’s office in Bandar Lampung, Friday (18/10/2024), Dompet Dhuafa received a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) donation of Rp75,000,000 from PT Masaji Tatanan Kontainer Indonesia as a subsidiary of Samudera Indonesia.

The symbolic donation was handed over by Pranoto as Operation Manager of PT Masaji Tatanan Kontainer Indonesia, a subsidiary of Samudera Indonesia. With great appreciation, the donation was received by Yogi Achmad Fajar, Branch Manager of Dompet Dhuafa Lampung, during the solemn event.

In his speech, Pranoto explained that this CSR program was held to celebrate Samudera Indonesia’s 75th Anniversary. Different from previous years, this time the celebration took the form of more in-depth social activities.

“We chose to collaborate with Dompet Dhuafa because they have proven to be trustworthy in managing various programs for the good of the community. This is an important step, especially for us who want to contribute in improving welfare in Lampung Province and throughout Indonesia,” he said.

The donation will be allocated for two main programs. First, the construction of a borehole well at Al Jami Mosque located in Jatimulyo Village, Jati Agung District, South Lampung Regency. This program aims to provide access to clean water for the local community. Secondly, the donation will also be used to provide school supplies for students in remote areas in Tanggamus Regency, Lampung.

Both programs were chosen as a concrete form of Samudera Indonesia’s commitment to support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially in terms of providing clean water and access to quality education.

Furthermore, Pranoto added that by carrying out the theme “Do Good, Feel Good,” the company hopes that every individual involved in this program can feel satisfaction and happiness from the good deeds they do. He believes that by doing good, one not only helps others, but also finds meaning and happiness in life.

Pranoto’s hopes are not limited to this program. He expressed the desire to be able to start more programs that have a positive impact on society, especially in the Lampung region. He wants Samudera Indonesia Lampung and Dompet Dhuafa Lampung to be more involved in activities that benefit the surrounding community.
