JAKARTA -– For 31 years, Dompet Dhuafa has consistently fulfilled its trust in distributing sacrificial animals to remote areas across the country and abroad. In the year 1446 Hijri, Dompet Dhuafa recorded a total of 36,709 sacrificial animals equivalent to sheep/goats for the 2025 National Sacrificial Animal Program, marking a 33.70% increase. This achievement comprises the “Tebar Hewan Kurban” program, which contributed 28,445 animals equivalent to sheep and goats, and the “Mitra Jejaring Kurban” program, which contributed 8,264 animals equivalent to sheep and goats.
The Mitra Jejaring Kurban program is an initiative for the sacrificial animal distribution movement, implemented through a direct sales mechanism by individual livestock farmers within the Dompet Dhuafa Network. This program aims to support the empowerment of local livestock farmers and strengthen the food supply chain.

Ahmad Juwaini, Chairman of the Dompet Dhuafa Republika Foundation, stated, “This year’s Eid al-Adha sacrifice program also involves Dompet Dhuafa’s Eid al-Adha Network Partners through a direct sales mechanism carried out by individual livestock farmers within the Dompet Dhuafa Network, to support the empowerment of local livestock farmers and strengthen the national food supply chain, particularly for those in need.”
Ahmad added that the sacrifice also has a tangible impact on local farmers supported by Dompet Dhuafa. “The distribution of sacrificial animals is the downstream utilization of your zakat contributions, channeled into economic programs, which have given rise to Dompet Dhuafa-supported farmers in many regions. As a result, the involvement of local farmers enables them to earn a decent income, gain empowerment, and achieve a tangible improvement in their standard of living,” Ahmad explained.

During this year’s Eid al-Adha period, the distribution reached 26 provinces in Indonesia, covering 250 regencies/cities, and 3 countries, namely Palestine, Somalia, and Myanmar. With this distribution area, the number of beneficiaries reached 2,036,320 people.
“Thank you to all donors, corporate partners, kindness partners, farmers, and all parties who have contributed to the success of the 1446 H Eid al-Adha campaign. The completion of the distribution marks the conclusion of the Kurban Se-ngaruh Itu campaign, which we have distributed to every corner of the country and beyond,” stated Dwi Tanty Kurnianingtyas, Chairperson of the THK Dompet Dhuafa Committee for 1446 H/2025 M.

Through the spirit of Kurban Se-ngaruh Itu, Dompet Dhuafa consistently helps those in need. So that the benefits of our kurban can be felt by everyone. From the kurban donors, farmers, traders, slaughterers, kurban partners, to the recipients of the kurban meat.
“The distribution of sacrificial animals is one of the concrete ways Dompet Dhuafa demonstrates its support and concern for those in remote areas, enabling them to experience the joy of sacrifice. Because sacrifice can increase protein intake for rural communities, strengthen the economy of local farmers, and have other significant impacts,” added Tanty.

One of the beneficiaries in Kiwang Ebang Village, East Solor Island, East Flores Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, Mama Ratna (60), shared her daily life. She expressed her gratitude upon receiving the qurbani meat. It had been a year since she last ate meat, a rare treat for her. Her daily diet consists of fish, corn chips, or even just rice and water.
“For daily needs, we save our earnings for several days before we can buy rice. We often endure hunger or fast. Yes, it’s nice to have sacrificial meat, even if it’s only once a year,” said Mama Ratna.

The same joy was also felt by Muhammad Yasin and the people of Bitorik Village, Maluku. After a long wait of 26 years, the people of Bitorik Village once again experienced the euphoria of Eid al-Adha, a day full of meaning. Donors from Dompet Dhuafa distributed sacrificial animals through the Tebar Hewan Kurban (THK) program, consisting of 9 cows and 1 goat, to the local community.
“The community was overjoyed when they heard that sacrificial animals would be sent here. Especially since there were so many of them. We didn’t want this to be enjoyed by just us. We also distributed the sacrificial meat to the surrounding villages,” said Muhammad Yasin. (Dompet Dhuafa)
