SOUTH TANGERANG — The situation in Gaza continues to deteriorate. Attacks by Israeli forces have destroyed buildings and residential areas in Gaza, killing 52,400 people as of April 30, 2025, since the attacks began in October 2023. Some 118,000 people have been injured in these tragic and inhumane attacks.
Despite this, the blockade of aid access routes has not diminished solidarity with the Palestinian people. All segments of society, particularly in Indonesia, remain committed and even more determined to support the independence of the Palestinian people. Various fundraising initiatives to meet the needs of the victims continue to be launched.
This time, the fundraising initiative comes from a collaboration between Dompet Dhuafa and Siti Khadijah—a Malaysian mukena brand that is committed to fully supporting the struggle of the people of Gaza. On Tuesday (April 29, 2025), a donation of Rp5,612,613 was handed over at the Siti Khadijah Mukena Boutique in Bintaro, South Tangerang.
Mohammad Muzammil Aminuddin, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PT Siti Khadijah Nusantara, expressed deep sorrow over the ongoing situation in the Gaza Strip, Palestine. Since the October 2023 attacks, the number of Gazans killed by Israeli strikes has reached 51,355, with the majority being women and children.

“We see that the situation in Gaza has never recovered. Although there was a ceasefire, Israeli attacks continue to rain down on Gaza. It’s getting worse. Here, Siti Khadijah is raising funds through product purchases. We set aside a portion of the proceeds for Palestine. This also serves as a symbol of solidarity for other communities to stand together and support the freedom of the people of Gaza,” said Muzammil.
Dompet Dhuafa and Siti Khadijah are promoting the campaign “Answering the Call of Al-Aqsa” through the purchase of Broderie Palestine prayer shawls priced at Rp385,000 and Hijab Jannah Scarves priced at Rp550,000.
From every transaction, whether made directly at the boutique or through digital channels, 20 percent will be donated to the Palestine Humanitarian Aid Program at Dompet Dhuafa. The campaign period runs from November 1, 2024, to March 22, 2025.

In addition, the donation also involved Siti Khadijah’s customers who regularly hold discussions every Thursday at the Siti Khadijah Bintaro Boutique. The customers also synergized their kindness through this agenda.
In the midst of the warm gathering, Dompet Dhuafa Partnership Manager Utammi Sri Lestari shared her view that the events in Palestine are no longer about religion and race, but rather a humanitarian issue. Therefore, this is a responsibility for all humanity.
“We extend our gratitude to Siti Khadijah for being one of the communities that consistently supports the people of Gaza. The humanitarian crisis in Gaza is a shared responsibility for all humanity. Dompet Dhuafa will continue to support the people of Gaza through various Palestine programs,” explained Utammi.

Donation proceeds will be distributed in the form of daily necessities according to the needs of the victims there. Previously, humanitarian aid distributed by Dompet Dhuafa to Palestine included ambulances, hot meals, basic necessities, medical supplies, and medical and humanitarian personnel.
Previously, Dompet Dhuafa and Siti Khadijah collaborated in the “We Stand For Palestine” campaign during November-December 2023. Come on, friends, let’s continue to support the struggle of the people of Gaza for freedom from Israeli occupation! (Dompet Dhuafa)
