SOUTH TANGERANG — The spirit of caring and sharing happiness in the holy month of Ramadan 1446 H brought happiness to orphans around South Tangerang. In an inspiring talk show session, the Deputy Chairman of Ramadan Dompet Dhuafa 1446 H, Widodo, emphasized the importance of sharing and helping those in need, especially orphans.

“Ramadan is a month full of blessings, and one way we get that blessing is by sharing with those less fortunate. Orphans have the right to feel the same happiness as other children. We hope that this activity can be a momentum for all parties to continue spreading kindness and care,” said Widodo in a talk show during the Ramadan activities.

The activity, titled ‘Honor Orphans with Dompet Dhuafa x BXc Mall,’ aims to distribute donations to orphans and raise public awareness about the importance of sharing and giving zakat (alms). This activity emphasizes a shared commitment to bring happiness to those less fortunate. More importantly, this activity also presents a series of fun activities with the orphans, such as drawing and coloring, breaking fast together, and ending with ice skating in the BXRink area.

After eating the iftar meal, the younger siblings and their older companions performed the Maghrib prayer in congregation before attending the main session, which was ice skating at BXRink. This activity was a fun and unforgettable experience for the younger siblings who attended. Many of them admitted that this was their first experience ice skating.

M. Rifky Akbar (8), for example, expressed his joy at being able to participate in this event. For him, this was the first time he had ever ice skated. At first, he hesitated to start. However, with the help of the older siblings accompanying him, he was finally able to skate on the ice after falling a few times.

“I am very happy to be able to participate in this event. I can play with my friends, get prizes, and ice skate for the first time! Thank you Dompet Dhuafa and all the older siblings who made this event possible,” he said with a happy smile.

Not only Rifky, but many other orphans also felt the happiness. Novandra Rizky (9), one of the other participants, also expressed her excitement when trying ice skating for the first time.

“At first I was afraid of falling, but the older kids here taught me until I could. It was really exciting! I want to play again later,” said the child from South Tangerang enthusiastically.

Meanwhile, Aura Putri (8) was happy to break the fast with her friends in a warm and cheerful atmosphere.

“I’m really happy! The food is good, there are prizes, and we can play too. Hopefully next year there will be another event like this,” she said enthusiastically.

The joy radiating from the orphans present is proof that activities like this have a tremendous impact. Not only do they provide compensation, but they also bring happiness that they may rarely feel.

Honoring orphans is our shared responsibility. Every helping hand and act of kindness will bring them smiles and hope. You can participate in various ways, from distributing zakat, infak, sedekah, or waqf through Dompet Dhuafa, to directly participating in social activities that support them.

By sharing, we not only provide benefits to the recipients, but also bring blessings into our lives. Let’s make this Ramadan a momentum to care more and share with those in need. Together, we can create a world that is more loving and just for the orphans around us.

The activity “Honor Orphans with Dompet Dhuafa x BXc Mall” is proof that social care can be realized through good collaboration. Hopefully, the spirit of sharing will continue to ignite and inspire more people to do good in this holy month and beyond. (Dompet Dhuafa)
