BOGOR, WEST JAVA – Amidst the torrent of economic constraints and rigorous scholarship selection, the spirit of education warriors never fades. STIM Budi Bakti, a private university under Dompet Dhuafa, once again became a silent witness to small steps full of hope towards a better future.
A total of 105 prospective students registered for the KIP Kuliah scholarship selection at STIM Budi Bakti. They came from various regions such as Bogor, Depok, South Tangerang, Bekasi, Jakarta, Pontianak, Bengkulu, West Nusa Tenggara, and Tegal. They are young people with big dreams, yet they come from humble backgrounds.

However, behind the enthusiasm lies a bitter reality that must be faced. A total of 306 higher education institutions in the LLDIKTI 4 West Java and Banten region proposed 50,173 KIP Kuliah scholarship quotas, competing for 4,139 quotas allocated by the government. Alhamdulillah, STIM Budi Bakti secured 9 KIP Kuliah quotas, despite having applied for 90 quotas.
Hope never fades. Dompet Dhuafa, as the owner and operator of STIM Budi Bakti, is taking proactive steps beyond simply waiting for government allocations. With a strong commitment to building Indonesia’s human resources into capable and empowered individuals, Dompet Dhuafa is offering 50 full scholarships for new students at STIM Budi Bakti for the year 2025.

This step is not only a response to the limitations of the system, but also proof that social and educational institutions can be at the forefront of social change. In this simple campus, young people from all corners of the country find a place to grow, learn, and dream bigger.
Data from the STIM Budi Bakti Tracer Study shows that 25% of graduates choose to become entrepreneurs, over 70% of students have secured employment within three months of graduation, with 10% earning above the minimum wage, and approximately 5% continuing their education to the master’s level.
