JAKARTA — Dompet Dhuafa in the education pillar, has 11 main educational empowerment programmes, ranging from early childhood to higher education, both formal, informal and non-formal education that stretches its benefits from Aceh to Papua. The implementing partner of Dompet Dhuafa’s education programme, GREAT Edunesia confirmed that the various programmes have been running for 20 years. The main focus of discussion is programmes in the fields of education and research.
This is an interesting thing that The Conversation Indonesia (TCID) then glanced at to establish a collaboration. On Friday (7/6/2024), TCID visited Dompet Dhuafa’s office in Philantrophy Building, South Jakarta. In this meeting, GREAT Edunesia conveyed in detail about Dompet Dhuafa’s educational programmes which are based on community empowerment.
‘Great Edunesia continues to serve and strive to present models of development programmes in the field of education. GREAT Edunesia continues to focus on sharpening its mission statement in an effort to improve the quality of education for the marginalised, which aims to produce superior and strategic human resources (HR),’ said Mulyadi Saputra as Executive Director of GREAT Edunesia.

In line with this, The Conversation Indonesia (TCID) as a non-profit digital media platform that disseminates research results in a popular manner sourced from lecturers and researchers. So far, the results of studies and research have only been written in scientific language that is difficult for the public to understand. TCID tries to bridge the gap between researchers who have the results of technological science studies and the public who can use the results of the work of these researchers.
GREAT Edunesia continues to innovate curriculum development, methods, approaches and strategies to ensure that each of its beneficiaries is competent, growing, and impactful.
‘Of course, support from various parties is needed, including donors, government, corporations, communities, and other education activists. Therefore, we continue to promote the KolaboraAksi spirit, which is the key to delivering excellent, impactful and sustainable programmes,’ Mulyadi added.

TCID plays an important role in disseminating scientific research results and strengthening collaborations that connect researchers from various campuses and institutions. In addition to publishing scientific research in a more understandable and popular language, TCID also organises forums to discuss various issues, and pushes strategic issues to policy makers.
‘It is hoped that from this meeting, further meetings will be held for more in-depth discussions so as to create a GREAT Edunesia and TCID Collaboration,’ Mulyadi added. (Dompet Dhuafa)
