JOMBANG, EAST JAVA – Dompet Dhuafa received a visit from BCA Syariah to inspect one of Dompet Dhuafa’s waqf assets, the Hasyim Asy’ari Hospital (RSHA) Tebuireng Jombang, which became Dompet Dhuafa’s 7th Waqf-Based Hospital. That day, Friday (23/2/2024), BCA Syariah also handed over medical equipment to RSHA Jombang to improve health services in the East Java region, especially at RSHA.
This kindness support includes various forms, one of which is medical equipment in the form of a surgical equipment operating table (GEA Head Operating Universal Table) type 3008A and a simple eye examination tool (ophthalmoscope). Both medical equipment were handed over directly by BCA Syariah, represented by the Head of Operations of the Surabaya Branch, Sapta Yuliantina to the Director of Hasyim Asy’ari Hospital, Aria Dewanggana.
Gratefully, an abundance of support and assistance continues to flow to support the operations of RSHA Jombang. Various parties, including individuals and institutions, sincerely make their contributions to run and maintain this health facility.

The spirit of concern manifested through various forms of donations is a solid foundation in realizing the hopes of RSHA Jombang to provide high-quality health services to people in need.
The Director of Hasyim Asy’ari Hospital, Dr. Aria Dewanggana, revealed that RSHA Jombang is a hospital that continues to grow. Waqf-based means that many parties are involved in the construction of this hospital. The long journey of RSHA Jombang is inseparable from various obstacles. For him, solutions to health challenges can only be realized through collaboration with parties who care about health.
“Alhamdulillah, BCA Syariah donated two equipment. The first is an operating table for the RSHA operating room II, then the second is a simple eye examination tool, an ophthalmoscope. So, this really supports us. Because we have three operating rooms where one of these rooms does not have an operating table. So, this is enough to complement the infrastructure in this hospital,” said Dr. Aria.
Representing BCA Syariah Surabaya Branch, Sapta Yuliantina hopes that the medical equipment provided can support and improve health in the Cukil and surrounding areas.
“I represent the handover from BCA Syariah in the form of medical equipment, in the form of an operating table and eye examination equipment. Hopefully what was given by BCA Syariah management will be useful for this Hasyim Ashari Hospital which was handed over through Dompet Dhuafa. This medical equipment will certainly be useful for the community in this Jombang area, especially in the Cukil area, and God willing, it will be useful for people who need it, “he said.
Furthermore, Dr. Aria also appreciated the collaboration between Dompet Dhuafa and BCA Syariah.
“Thank you for the great support in the form of medical equipment donations. We believe this contribution will be very useful to improve services to patients, especially considering the recent increase in patient visits. Hopefully our hospital, which is based on waqf and has the support of various parties, can become the first choice of the community. We hope that this collaborative effort will not only be an initiative, but also provide great benefits, especially for the people around Jombang,” concluded Dr. Aria.

The initiative to build the Hasyim Asy’ari Hospital began with the first visit of the late Salahuddin Wahid (Gus Sholah) to the Integrated Health Center (RST) of the Dompet Dhuafa Madina Zone in Bogor on April 20, 2017. Just a few months after his visit, KH Hasyim Asy’ari’s extended family made the monumental decision to donate a one-hectare plot of land. Within a year, an extraordinary collaboration took place, realized through the symbolic groundbreaking of RSHA Jombang on September 19, 2018.
On February 2, 2023, RSHA Jombang was officially operational, ready to welcome and serve patients with a variety of health services. RSHA Jombang offers a variety of polyclinics, including internal medicine, gynecology, pediatrics, cardiology, orthopedics, surgery, and dentistry. The excellent services at this waqf hospital involve specialized expertise, especially in the fields of cardiology and surgery.
