SOUTH TANGERANG – Responding to the current situation in the country, Dompet Dhuafa reaffirms its commitment to serving the community, not only through humanitarian actions in the field, but also by drawing closer to the Creator. As an expression of love and response to the nation’s condition, Dompet Dhuafa held a spiritual event titled “Tausiah, Zikir, and Doa untuk Negeri” (Sermon, Remembrance, and Prayer for the Nation) on Tuesday (September 2, 2025), at the Masjid Al-Syukro Ciputat Hall.
This event was held in a hybrid format, allowing for broad participation from all Dompet Dhuafa personnel, both those present at the Al-Syukro Mosque Hall in Ciputat and those joining online. The event video can be viewed via the link https://youtu.be/jYpwxbtXX2Y.

This spiritual response aims to strengthen our relationship with Allah SWT and ask for His help for the progress and prosperity of Indonesia. As we keep doing, Dompet Dhuafa is always at the forefront in responding to people’s needs, including during protests, by upholding the values of humanity, security, and safety.
The joint prayer was led by Ustaz Ahmad Shonhaji, Director of Social, Humanitarian, and Da’wah Programs at Dompet Dhuafa. This event also featured Prof. Amin Suma as the Sharia Council of Dompet Dhuafa, Ustaz Hilman Fauzi as an Islamic religious leader, and Muhammad Atiatul Muqtadir as an activist who gave inspirational sermons and responses. In his speech, Mr. Rahmad Riyadi, as a member of the Board of Trustees of Dompet Dhuafa, also expressed his concern.

“What I am feeling now is probably the second time, after 1998 and now in 2025. Of course, we need to respond to this, observe it carefully, and care about the action,” he said.
He also informed that, in addition to focusing on the condition of the country, Dompet Dhuafa will soon send a delegation to Tunisia and Jordan on a humanitarian mission for Palestine, and hopes that this step will receive support from stakeholders so that the donations from donors can be distributed with blessings.
Meanwhile, Ustaz Idrianto Faishal emphasized three important points in his sermon regarding the consequences of straying from Allah SWT, namely: life becomes narrow, one is trapped in a cycle of sin, and the heart becomes hardened.
This spiritual step is expected to strengthen Dompet Dhuafa and the entire community, restore peace, and foster optimism for a better future for Indonesia. (Dompet Dhuafa)
