JAKARTA -— A warm and enthusiastic atmosphere enveloped the Selasar Hall D2 area of the Jakarta Fair (Pekan Raya Jakarta) on Friday (July 11, 2025). Amid the bustling atmosphere of Indonesia’s largest exhibition, Dompet Dhuafa partnered with Marc Klok Foundation (MKF) to host a special event titled “Juggling Competition: Donate and Juggle.” The event seamlessly blended entertainment, sports, and the spirit of giving through endowment.
More than just a ball juggling competition, the event served as the official kick-off for a wakaf campaign to build soccer fields in two locations: Pasupati, Bandung, and Parung, Bogor. This campaign is part of Dompet Dhuafa and MKF’s vision to create positive spaces for children and teenagers to grow and hone their soccer skills, especially in areas lacking adequate sports facilities.

One of the most anticipated sessions of this event was a talk show with Mahir Radja Satya, a former Persik Kediri player who is now actively promoting social programs through the Marc Klok Foundation. During the event, Mahir shared his views on the importance of synergy between sports and social good.
“This is an opportunity to provide facilities for young people with a talent for soccer, so they can develop their skills and eventually become top soccer players,” Mahir explained.

Mahir also emphasized that this collaboration is not just about soccer fields, but about opening up access, space, and hope for young people in villages that have great potential but lack facilities.
According to Reita Annur, Brand Activation Manager at Dompet Dhuafa, this campaign is a form of expanding the meaning of waqf in a modern social context.
No longer limited to places of worship such as mosques or cemeteries, waqf can now also be used to build public facilities, such as soccer fields that can be used by the wider community.
“This campaign is a progressive form of waqf. We want to expand the meaning of waqf, not only for mosques or graves, but also for social facilities that shape the character and future of the nation’s children,” said Reita.
Wakaf for the construction and revitalization of this field can begin with just IDR 25,000, through digital channels or directly at the Dompet Dhuafa booth at Jakarta Fair. Every rupiah contributed becomes part of the collective effort to build Indonesia’s golden generation. Even after Jakarta Fair ends, the public can continue to participate by visiting the nearest Dompet Dhuafa outlets or digitally.

Visitors to the Jakarta Fair can also participate in the waqf campaign in a more enjoyable way by purchasing sports products from the local brand Mills. During the event, Mills products such as jerseys, T-shirts, and other sports equipment can be purchased at a special price of half the regular price, starting from Rp75,000. All proceeds from the purchases will be donated to the construction of a soccer field as part of this waqf program.
The atmosphere becomes even more lively with the holding of a ball juggling competition, where participants are challenged to keep the ball in the air for as long as possible. Visitors of all ages participate, showcasing their enthusiasm and love for sports.
Winners of the competition will receive exclusive prizes from the Marc Klok Foundation and Dompet Dhuafa, including a ball signed by Marc Klok and various other attractive merchandise. Those who donate or purchase Mills products also have the chance to win additional prizes through a raffle coupon.

The Dompet Dhuafa booth at the D2 Hall Atrium is not only a venue for competitions and activations but also a hub for information about charitable programs. Here, visitors can ask directly about the details of the endowment program, the donation distribution process, and interact directly with the Dompet Dhuafa team.
As part of its commitment to providing a comfortable spiritual space for the community, during the Jakarta Fair (June 19 – July 13, 2025), Dompet Dhuafa is also offering a clean and comfortable prayer room for visitors who wish to perform their five daily prayers. This facility reflects Dompet Dhuafa’s dedication to promoting the values of worship amidst public activities.
“Juggling Competition: Donate and Juggle” reflects the spirit of collaboration, social innovation, and the joy of giving through endowment. From the Jakarta Fair, this message is spread: building a nation can start with small things, like one juggling ball, a donation of Rp25,000, or purchasing a Mills jersey. Perhaps one day, from the fields built through this campaign, future national football players will emerge—not from big cities, but from villages full of hope.
